I never said a check raise is better than a check call. I agree with your analysis of the hand, but I figured since I said it was ok (even though it wasnt) I might as well put in the merits ofthe C/R

OP:

Lead flop. Mainly to build a pot w/ your monster hand. How often do you c/r here, and with what? Your play lets your opponents off too easily imo.

lead > c/c > c/r. c/c-ing is better because a) this is a drawless board and b) leads to alot of turn possibilities (leading turn, basically stop n go, or c/r-ing big on turn). leading disguises your hand better, but c/r is worst of the three imo.

Hi Thundercat,

Next time don't post action after you're action that you are questioning. With 2 villains willing to bet my hand for me I just call the flop. Who knows, maybe villain 1 re-pops it as it was only a minraise by villain 2. By calling if villain 1 also calls you have $34 in the pot. By calling one of them will bet again on the turn. BTW, when I call I hesitate some to make it look like I am unsure. Make them think you may have folded it to give them more impetus to bet the turn. They both have you covered and you have $31 left after calling with a $34 pot, $30 pot if villain 1 folds to the minraise. If they don't put us allin on the turn we hesitate again (a bit longer this time) and push allin. We don't hesitate long enough to have to ask for more time. I find the hesitations put enough uncertainty into villains mind that they will call with worse hands. Maybe even K9.

Garon

dibtel,

I checked because I knew I had the best hand and I wanted to let Villian hang himself. I agree with you, the c/r is bad c/c is better. I don't like the lead because I want don't want a bunch of folds, I think c/c allows the most money to be made by getting it on multiple streets.

Just wish I had been thinking this at the time,

Yes many problems with Bison's lately.

What problems do people have with this? Are you deleting "Texas" from your hand histories (if it's party)? I've never had a problem with the convertor.

thundercat,

just because you have the best hand, doesn't mean you should check it. In fact it's quite the opposite. Raising disguises your hand better than checking here. Its like saying, oh, I've got AA preflop, I dont want to raise, they might all fold. By check/calling on this flop, you're going to win an extra bet from a bluff and thats it. By leading out the flop, you're going to win a BIG pot from another ace, or true, they might just fold. But if they were going to fold to a lead, you're not going to win a big pot however you play it
