Your thinking is accurate.

If you are playing in a game within your bankroll, it isn't difficult to let go of those hands in which you were unlucky. It might just take some time (mind management). As long as you keep getting in ahead, the math will work itself out.

Don't put yourself in a situation where you cannot afford to get unlucky. It is gambling, albeit a different type. In this case, the outcome of individual hands become essential. Otherwise, stay focused, mind clear and full steam ahead.
