[ QUOTE ]
When you go to a theme party where dressing to the theme is not required, do you do it? If you are going there to pick up girls, do you think you have a better chance if you dress the theme, or if you "be yourself" and don't try to act all tacky. Do you ever feel out of place when you don't dress up? Feel stupid and awkward when you do? I'm going to a country/western theme party at the campus bar tonight. Normally I don't dress up for these type of things, but tonight I've decided to sport the cowboy hat and belt buckle to see how it goes. Just curious to hear others thoughts on the subject. [/ QUOTE ] If it was a house party, I'd say definetly dress up. It's a downer for those that throw the party if you don't and if it's hot chicas throwing the party you'd definetly score points with them for participating. Still, dressing up is definetly in your favor (Even more so with the dressed up girls). As someone else said it's a good conversation piece. It also shows you have balls enough to be silly and enjoy yourself. But don't disguise yourself completely with a mask or anything. The girls at least have to have a teaser of what you look like (and not just a hole in the jeans). |

We had a 'catholic school' party last semester that turned out amazing. The catholic part might have to be refined depending on who you're inviting. However the premise is the girls dress up in their slutty school girl uniforms, and the guys get by with wearing polos or sweaters. It turned out reaaaal nice.

I hate 'theme' parties and refuse to attend. Halloween and Christmas parties are enough.
It's an excuse for people to not develop the social skills to think of conversation on their own. |
