[ QUOTE ]
I've never had Copags, but I have some Kems, and the faces of those are fading badly. I'm going on about 2 1/2 years of playing weekly with them... [/ QUOTE ] The cards have more than paid for themselves for the amount of use you got out of them. I wouldn't expect any plastic cards to last for two years being used weekly. Over 100 sessions with 1 setup of cards? Those cards deserve your upmost respect |

What about the Kems AND SLIDING? DO THEY SLID AS BAD AS THE COPEGS? [/ QUOTE ] WHY ARE WE YELLING? I don't know about the USPC Kems. The old Kardwell Kems didn't slide as much, they glided. But anyone using good plastic cards shouldn't play on hard surfaces anyway. |

But anyone using good plastic cards shouldn't play on hard surfaces anyway. [/ QUOTE ] Well, not everyone can afford to purchase a nice table. Others don't have room for one. And I refuse to play on those crappy felt and plastic table top things. So I use plastic, and buy a new deck if they get ruined. Just can't play with paper cards. |

[/ QUOTE ] Just buy a decent blanket. We use a velour type one. And then we use small clips to keep it in place. Depending on the blanket, it pretty nearly mimics a nice poker table without the cost. I couldn't imagine playing on a hard surface. It'd be such a pain picking the cards up each time. |

You can get foam and cheap felt, or speed cloth to put on top instead of the felt, at Johanna's Fabrics or other such stores. If your normal table has a ledge/rim underneath, or you use a folding table with round metal legs, a few 1" metal C clamps holds it in place nicely and works great! BELIEVE me, that small investment earns HUGE returns on playability, especially trying to pick up cards and chips. "And I refuse to play on those crappy felt and plastic table top things." Amen, though I've done it (and used one when all of our regular tables overflowed) when necessary. |

Get one of these.
They are ugly as hell but work great and are on sale. I have a bunch of the oval and round all green ones and everyone loves them when we have to use them. To bad they discontinued those last year. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=...asin=B000AEVACS |

I would buy a piece of foam the size of my table top and then put the speed cloth over it and secure it as you suggest? Do you think this would work? Someone else recommended something called headliner fabric, which is soft fabric with a foam backing. |

Yes, separate. I use that setup for: A picnic table A folding table with hard plastic top A wooden 8' dining room table I haven't ever used the drawstring table tops. Aren't they limited in size? I haven't seen the headliner in use. |

My dining table, fully extended, is 108" x 31", so I'll give it a try.
