Curtains, do you know why the strategies are so divergent for cash games and sngs?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would think it's because in SNGs the relative size of your stack is imperative. It may be more cEV to bet more as to increase fold equity here, but we are losing too much $ equity when our bet is snapped off. Hopefully I'm right.

In cash play your chips are exactly proportional to your equity (this isn't quite true, but it's close). In tournament play, that's not true (at all).

Also in cash play, you're more likely to be playing the same people for a longer period of time, so it is imperative to have balancing strategies.

Does everyone cbet 100% of the time when they are OOP too? I've been torn on what to do in that spot.

Yeah I've been wondering what to do there as well. Sometimes I have so kind of a read so I know what to do. But against a random player I bet 100% of the time & I'm not sure if I should.

If I've raised PF, and been called by one guy, I would cb 100% against a random dude. This has a way better than 1/3 chance of taking it down (I bet 1/2 pot).

Don't know what optimal amount is. From what curtains said, maybe a smaller bet would be closer to optimal. 1/2 pot seems pretty good to me.

That's pretty much how I play it also. The % time I CBet goes down as the number of callers goes up. If the BB is 50 and I raise to 200 PF and get 4 callers and miss completely I'm probably not CBetting. With 2 callers I usually do but not always, with 2 callers my stack size is also a big factor. One random caller and I'm always Cbetting, usually 1/2 the pot or a little bit more (I usually take 1/2 the pot and round up to the next 100, i.e. if there is 750 in the pot I bet 400).
