So from what everyone has said, only an idiot would call this river... that is me!!! Sorry just needed to flame myself a little. I have always been too tight on the river, always putting people on hands that beat me, then lately, say in the last month, I started picking off some bluffs and I have done a total 180 and have started putting people on hands that I can beat.

Obviously I called and he had 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Clearly a bad call on my part, he did have odds to call the turn with 14 outs and was in good shape if I was paying him off if he hit.

Is this hand ok up until the river call... any other lines?

Pot the turn. Maybe its results oriented, but I think you have to fire a stronger second bullet on this board. Yes, your pf raise makes you unlikely to be drawing so he might be calling as opposed to raising with a set, but given his limp, the overlay, and the board, I think his range is wide enough to include many of the hands you need to be charging.

Why bother potting the turn? Villain has 180 left and the pot's 120. Doesn't make too much sense. I'd either want to price him in a little bit and milk the money, or shut him down and move in on that turn.

DS, there are lots of players with TAG stats who are terrible. This is why you need reads that are more than just what pt tells you. You are giving this guy too much credit based on his stats.

Well, you may be right, but I don't see how you come to that conclusion on this hand. I think the villain played well on every street, especially if he knew he'd be paid off on the river if he hit.

I'm not saying villain is bad. I'm saying the OP saying "He can't have this hand because he's a tag and took this line" is wrong.
