Okay, for NYE I am drinking Grey Goose Bloody Mary's, and will later go out to play some LL donk O8.
Before I get too drunk, however, I'd like to ask about today's equivalent for the 80's teenage angst films. I was going through hell in the early to mid 80's. I found films like The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink a method of coping and keeping myself from suicide. I forgot how good some of John Hughes films were. Sixteen Candles 1984 The Breakfast Club 1985 Pretty in Pink 1986 Ferris Bueller's Day Off 1986 Some Kind of Wonderful 1987 So what is the equivalant for today's teens? I admit, I just don't watch movies like I used to. Do today's teens have these kind of great "over the hump of hell" films to get them through adolescence? Napoleon Dynamite? Anyone, anyone? Bueller? |
