I think you should fold when c/r'd on the turn. You are almost certainly drawing to 5 outs against this guy and need better than 8-1 to call.

[/ QUOTE ]

I got 8.2:1, and I think I would get at least one, possibly 2 more BB's on the river if I hit. That's why I called the turn c/r.

PT sais he's 11/6/7.5/200

against this player, when he doesnt fold the turn I'm not putting anymore money in. in this particular case, that means folding the turn. even if he's semi-bluffing you, which he rarely is given his stats

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't understand this. Someone with a postflop aggression of 7.5 should be semi-bluffing a lot, no?

[/ QUOTE ]

after 200 hands, AF isn't always reliable to conclude he semi-bluffs alot. if you can't fold to the turn check-raise.. i think i'd prefer to a straight calldown from the flop.. (or a call-call-fold line).

I would take this a step further and say that a stat read by itself is insufficient to conclude that a Villan semi-bluffs a certain amount, after any number of hands. Especially a Villan this tight.

7.5 means he is betting/raising and/or FOLDING a lot more than he calls. Folding instead of calling increases your agression factor.

Still, when trying to steal the blinds, I often try to look up the specific stats on blind defense as given by PAHud.
I also am sometimes VERY aggressive in stealing, because of the rock garden that some Party tables are (don't know how this is on Stars).
I still think you shouldn't chase these hands too much postflop. Steal failed, tough, you're still a winner if they work >40% of the time.

You don't think one can steal with any 2 cards?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, because you haven't told us anything about SB's stats. BB is only half of the stealing equation.

I hate your postflop line. Either call down from the flop or call the flop/fold the turn UI. His preflop 3-bet is enough to make me back off.

Grunch:

Take your free card on the turn.
