[ QUOTE ] bvly, i usually don't like your posts, but this one is exquisite. people attempting to say what ROIs are possible by watching a few games are absolutely retarded. citanul [/ QUOTE ] Thanks I guess? I hardly post, I didn't know there was so much to dislike, but I appreciate the compliment, backhanded as it may be. [/ QUOTE ] LOL! Bvly, pal, I'm sure he hates mine, too, and I have even less... For the record, I like yer posts alright... -Brass |

[ QUOTE ]
I just switched from Party to mostly Stars. Chopping was never even an issue on Party, but yesterday on Stars I got heads up in a 335 vs. a Stars regular with even chips, and after at first saying no, I agreed to chop so we could both concentrate on other games. I didn't really see anything wrong with it, as we both had played all out up to that point, and at high blinds it's pretty much a crapshoot anyway. But does anyone think that is unfair or in any way the wrong thing to do? Since I never came across it on Party, I haven't really thought about it, but I'd definitely want to do things the right way. Thanks... [/ QUOTE ] I chop $109 non-turbos (HU at BB150 is interminable) and 6x$119s every now and then (usually we're both so relieved to make ITM). I would a lot of the time if the guys didn't get so baffled and freaked out whenever I mention it. Takes too much of my attention to hold their hand through the whole process. |

It's not very hard to find an elky hand where he pushes too loose [/ QUOTE ] What is hard is to find one where he doesn't come out on top. I think bubbling Elky automatically activates the doom switch. Beware. |

[ QUOTE ] joe, elky's horrible, what are you talking about? citanul [/ QUOTE ] Citanul If you think I am a bad play then I challenge you to a 1 vs 1 match for between $5,000-$50,000. I have a different style than most sit-and-go players. I like to be aggro and attack attack attack when I feel my opponent is weak. Sometimes I will make a play that looks unusual. If I think I am in the lead I will call an all in with bottom pair to the board. I always trust my instinct and It has been very good to me so far. [/ QUOTE ] Holy crap! Elky lurks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah, and quit sucking out on me you bastard. (sorry for the post barrage, just getting caught up on this totally awesome thread!" ) |

This is a fanboy's worst nightmare. [/ QUOTE ] SLOTD!!!!! This thread just keeps getting better and better and better. I called it (to myself) too. That within 5 posts of Elky's HU challenge bones would make an appearance. |

[/ QUOTE ] For a strong/verystrong HU player, your HU edge is huge against the 119 6max field (one of the reasons is the lack of 6 max turbos that are softer, so alot of fish 'move up'.) Thus, you should not chop evenly. On the other hand, if you are weak at HU, you should probably stay away from 6max sngs and concentrate on 9max turbos, because HU in 9max turbos is more or less pbotting anyways. In conclusion, you should not chop $119s in general. --- Regarding "how can you tell 8% just by watching ..." Some of the players are stupidly bad right now, worse than the average $60 player. How long they will stay in that game, who knows. --- EK |

yea im sure the fact that I had the highest roi at the 530s on party and the highest roi at the 215s (or tied for highest, whatever) is a pure fluke. Curtains once again player hates on people who play higher stakes than him...what a shock. Oh and citanul, when someone shoves 7bb from the cutoff you shouldnt call in the bb with 22, just a little FYI.

I'd rather just fire up another one. (Yes, 7. I'm old and my epenis is very average). |
