[ QUOTE ]

Florida moved the ball decently early when LSU used a 3 man front. LSU quickly adjusted and shut them down.

[/ QUOTE ]
I agree with you about LSU & a lot of what you're saying but this just isn't accurate. I have the tape.

Moore's good runs on the first drive were against 4-3s, nickel packages with 4 man fronts & one 3 man front that I saw, but each time linebackers in the box as well. Tebow running over people on his first run was against a 4-3 with 2 safeties instantly helping in run support and he still ran them the hell over.
Florida's drive to end the half wasn't against 3 man fronts either. They dominated that drive completely.

[ QUOTE ]

LSU moved the ball with ease and were about to punch in their second td in their first 3 drives of 70 yards+.

[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed. They were dominating early.

[ QUOTE ]

They were not dominated at all.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe not dominated by our offense but they were dominated in special teams, hitting, emotion. Minus the first LSU pick & fumble, it's not like they just handed us the ball. We out hit the most physical team in the country.

[ QUOTE ]

I'm beginning to understand why you think Ohio State of 2002 was one of the best champions despite probably being in the bottom half of Buckeye teams over the past 15 years.

[/ QUOTE ]

Me too. Les Miles = Ron Zook.

Compare the rankings of LSU and Florida

LSU has all the tools and is a legitimate national title contender. They've failed to put it together on the field.

[/ QUOTE ]

Coaching, hitting, technique, special teams are all "tools", though. They have monster tools on offense & even more so on D, but they don't have "all" the "tools" apparently.

This finding isn't just limited to this year, either. Until they start playing a bit more outside of their backyard, I'm not going to give them a whole lot of credit.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree the scheduling is strange this year, but UF goes back to a home/home vs Miami in 2008 to go with of course FSU.
Tell me that's not playing outside your backyard. FSU OOC every year is tough enough as it is.

Let me clarify. I am not speaking of 2006 alone. I clearly think tOSU is the best team in the country. I think if tOSU and Texas played 10 times, tOSU would win 5 times, at most 6. The talent levels at Ohio State, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Auburn, LSU, UGA, Tennessee, Florida, and Michigan are barely noticeable.

[/ QUOTE ]

WTF? These rankings are clearly for 2006 only. Why are you trying to justify your selections with saying otherwise? tOSU would win 8/10 against any SEC team not named Florida.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm trying to be nice here, but I can only find "You're an idiot."

Huh? Do you mean if that happened at the beginning of the season or if they played again & that was the result?

let's see how Cal handles it when Longshore faces pressure again. So far, he has proved he can throw when he has all day. When he has to move his feet, he looked more than shaky.
