Are people seeing value in taking Lisa Tucker as next eliminated?

If pepole were literally handing him the title, Im sure he'd be higher than 29 on WSEX (which basically = 29% chance to win). I'd say that based on his judge reviews so far, 29% isnt that farfetched and it's far from anyone calling him a shoo-in.

I realize that, I'm just saying that valuing him almost a 1 in 3 chance of winning when there are 11 contestants left is way too high a price when he has shown zero versatility so far.

Next week is 50's week so I think it might be his chance to show some versatility. At any rate he is 9 dollars higher than the nearest competitor, which is way too big a spread at this stage IMO. You could pretty much buy 3 McPhee shares for every 2 Chris, which def. makes McPhee a bargain by comparison.

No. But he's got the South behind him. And diehard Lynyrd Skynyrd fans. (could be the same).

I like her personality a lot too. Her voice is not good for me though.

there are songs he can adapt quite well. jerry lee lewis, little richard etc.

i agree with your general post re: chris.

as a matter of fact, my strategy this year and in years' past was to identify very strong contestants that i felt could not win, then bought balanced portfolios of the few i thought could win, then went VERY heavy on my favorite. obviously, one of my toss outs this year was chris.

other toss outs are mandisa, elliot and ace. i am very comfortable with this decision because i feel our position is stronger now than i have enjoyed in ai 1-4 (which were great every year). also, if my horse makes it to second, and i sell early, we will still do *very* well as long as a couple of key singers get dumped early.

bact to topic... chris is an amazing talent in his genre, and you better believe that there is music out there from ALL categories that he will do just fine with. he will never fall on his face in any given week, and is likely to get more credit than he deserves in these "tough" weeks. these tough weeks may keep him around longer than if it was 'dealer's choice' each week and he sang metarock for the next 3 months.

No. And he was not valued all that highly until top 6 or so, if I recall correctly. Does anyone else remember if Bo even broke 20, let alone 30, before the top 6?

Opening odds on pinnaclesports.com

Kevin Covais +120
Bucky Covington +150
Kellie Pickler +1200
Ace Young +1200
Lisa Tucker +1200
Elliot Yamin +2000
Taylor Hicks +7000
Mandisa +7000
Paris Bennett +7000
Katharine McPhee +10000
Chris Daughtry +10000

Personally, I do not really like the odds yet, and will wait to see how they change. Lisa is takeable as a hedge for other plays, but the odds may get better, and I do not think she will actually be eliminated this week. Her fans will be in shock from her being in the bottom 3 rather than Kevin, and should respond with heavy voting next week.

Odds will change as the money comes in, so if you like these numbers, go ahead and take them. I don't, but some people see value in betting on Ace or Kellie at long odds.

Also, a LOT of money will come in on Kevin, since a huge number of people think he should go. I think he definitely should go, but will not yet imo.

If you want to get down on Kevin leaving, though, you should probably do it soon. Small chance the odds get better, if money first comes in on the longshots, but by next week's shows, he will probably be at -odds. I think he closed this week around -120.
