We've been punked. I feel stupid.

It's possible he put that in there as a joke. I mean, I don't think anyone believed that those were real links anyway. OP seems way too sincere about this and this is a pretty dumb thing to make up.

Meet hot guy's or girls. 'Meet attached women looking for discreet relationships'.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's a Google Ad and not part of Frienster, I think. Try the "tour".

[/ QUOTE ]

It's their homepage where you sign up. Type in 'friendster.com' Then read the page. Once you get into the tour, it can look a little more innocent, but they don't really mention that on the initial page.

Now compare that to myspace's homepage. There's nothing really about 'dating' or meeting for 'discreet encounters'.

[/ QUOTE ]

Those are ads for other sites. Friendster doesn't have control over them. They work just like Google ads.

[/ QUOTE ]

You're right. I thought they were ads for what you can find inside the Friendster site. Thanks.

That said then, it depends on how the wife came to know this guy online. If it was in a group, or just someone emailing to say hi. The latter is bad news.

"Lock the bitch in the kitchen" about cover it?

Either you're horribly paranoid or have some experience with a related situation, because this seems way overboard to me.

I do agree that, as posted, the incident raises some alarm bells about the OP's relationship with his wife. I just don't know if they are his problem or hers.... and neither do you.

I believe in nipping problems like this in the bud, before they evolve into bigger problems.

[/ QUOTE ]

Right. Like with Hitler in Munich. They never should have let him get away with that. You have to eradicate these things early before they get outta hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL...wait, am I Hitler or is the OPs original problem Hitler??

[/ QUOTE ]

The OP is France, The guy his wife is talking to is hitler, the wife is stalin, you're winston churchill and everyone in OOT who's saying its not a big deal is chamberlain.

[/ QUOTE ]

Brilliant.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed, though if MainEvent is not just being farcical, I don't know if I agree with him/her.

I'm a regular poster so I too am using another account.

This struck a cord with me because I went through the same thing a few years ago. My wife had an email and phone buddy who was actually a former boss. These emails and phone conversations always seemed a little strange and too friendly but I never thought "it could happen to me". Someone suggested that they might be having an affair and I thought, there's no way. But a small voice said, what if? So, being a techie, I installed a keystroke logger on the computer, and within hours I had proof. Sure enough they were sleeping together.

If I learned anything, it's that you should trust your instincts on this. If it bothers you, then something inappropriate is definitely going on. Maybe it hasn't gotten physical but believe me if will at some point. Doesn't have to be physical to be an affair.

I agree with Dominic. There is nothing right about this. You need to get confrontational and demand that that this stop right away. Demand to see the emails. If she refuses, get a keystroke logger and bug your computer. It sounds horrible but you'll never feel right until you know.

Took me a couple years to work through the pain of an affair. Just speaking from experience. You need to nip this in the bud now!

My best friend's mom was doing this online as well.

Eventually, their marriage of 16 years ended in a divorce.

This is a bad sign, fix it quick.

But in her case, the husband was notified by the son of his wife's action.
