I missed the results show, but based on WSEX prices I assume Ace and Lisa were bottom 3? Obviously Melissa is gone. I had forgotten there was a show tonight. I just checked the prices and noticed all of my holdings had gone up and I couldn't figure out why.

Yes, Melissa got kicked off. Ace and Lisa were the others in the bottom 3, in a "shocker." I called it pretty closely above, thought either Ace or Lisa would be there, a little surprised both were.
I made previous posts on betting on Melissa to go, it was the obvious play. Hope some of you cashed in. The +EV move currently is buying the Kellie contracts. |

Chris up to $29 on WSEX? A lot of people are going to lose a lot of money on this guy if they hold him till the end. He is talented and managed to somehow sing hard rock on Stevie Wonder night. But his one-trick-pony act will eventually catch up with him. This guy is a generic yeller who sounds like every other Live/Fuel/Creed/etc. band on the radio. He's good at his particular style, but he's not what America votes as the American Idol. People are already handing him the title which is just ridiculous with 10 more theme nights to go. This time last year people were ready to hand Anwar the title. [/ QUOTE ] While I agree it is way too early in the process to pick a winner I'm not so sure I would dismiss Chris that easily. One trick - maybe. But he certainly has shown he is an authentic performer with talent. He took a very difficult theme for his style and turned it to his advantage. I think he can continue to do that - we'll just have to wait and see. |

So many of these other performers have wanted to show the judges "another side" and usually that backfires. Chris will have to keep up the good song selection, since he is more limited vocally than some of the others. |

[ QUOTE ] So who got voted off? [/ QUOTE ] No one got voted off. They got voted off. [/ QUOTE ] You make no sense. First of all, internet poker forums are no place for grammer police. 2nd, how else would you ask who got voted off other than simply asking "who got voted off?" There was only 1 person voted off, you surely don't ask "They got voted off tonight?" to find out who People who try to correct grammer on this forum are just wasting posts and should be banned. This is the last I am going to talk about it, atleast for rest of the night. |

I'd say that based on his judge reviews so far, 29% isnt that farfetched and it's far from anyone calling him a shoo-in. |

[/ QUOTE ] By "handing him the title," I assume revots simply meant that he's being valued too highly. At this stage of the game last year, I don't remember anyone being anywhere near this high. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I recall Carrie being low 20's, then falling in some of the next couple rounds down to the mid-teens. She re-claimed the lead somewhere around the top 6 or 7, and hit 30 and above thereafter. And that was a year that was nowhere near as deep as this year. As I stated in my betting thread, Chris will definitely falter on one of these cheesy theme nights. He has been great at singing rock songs, and as he himself expressed, basically got lucky that there was a rock version of one of Stevie Wonder's songs. I cannot see him doing the same with Disco, Barry Manilow, and Rod Stewart all. By no means am I bashing Chris, just evaluating his current market prospects. I liked him early, and picked up a bunch at 12. But he is currently a sell. |
