Soooooooo anyway,

I visit the Speedway nearby like literally every.single.day. Often a couple times. Between smoking by the pack, gas, "grocery" shopping (since I basically gave up cooking), I've been getting the "Hi Dave" for a while now.

Whelp, we got a new trooper this week. Pleasant she's not. She's one of those miserable about life types that somehow manages to remain professional enough while always pushing the 'I'm really a hardcore bitch' to the max.

I get that they are trained to always ask if you'd gotten any fuel at checkout. With her, it's "any fuel?". "Nope, not today" I answer. Glancing out toward the pumps..."No fuel??" she asks again. "Honestly, no" - right hand raised.

Or, maybe it's strolling to the line with a hotdog in tow. "...and a regular hotdog" I tell her proudly presenting my pig byproduct prize. "Regular or jumbo?", she askes. "Just a regular", I assure her. She'll then lean over the counter a tad to take a closer look.

So this kind of little stuff goes on and on. I joyfully continue to attempt to kill her with kindness. Tonight, I stop in after gymnastics practice and serve me up another delicious hotdog (yeah, my heart is going to explode any day now). She's at the hotdog station tidying up a bit. I spot the perfect dog and go in for the pincher thing squeeze. On the way out I bumped the side and the poor dog fell to the ground. She looks at me, I look at her..."oops", I say with a smile.

I pick it up and as I'm dropping it into the enclosed-garbage-in-the-counter thing, she yells "don't throw it away!". Too late. "Sorry about that, I didn't know", I tell her. "We need to write these up. We're accountable you know".

I've heard of places being accountable for cups and whatnot, I don't doubt that she is. She looks at me with a 'well, get it' look. I look at her while spreading mustard on my new dog. A dumpster-diving she goes. Despite accepting that this dog must be accounted for, I wonder what it is exactly she is going to do with it.

"Will it be shipped to the Speedway corporate head-quarters?".

"No", she says. "But I need to write it up".

"Then what do you do with it?" I ask, not satisfied.

"We throw it away of course" she retorts.

A quick second of silence and a funny look on her face. Almost as if she knew that my next comment could very well be something along the lines of "maybe you could just leave it in the garbage and make a little note somewhere?". Eh, no need. Mission accomplished. Chaulk one up for the bitch killer.

When I was working on my house in Oakland I would have lunch at the Oaks every time I went to Home Depot. I only got shot like 4 or 5 times. No big deal.

LOLz u guys r funny as [censored]. Its nice and safe over on the peninsula, BUT, you pay DEARLY for it. I bought this tiny shack in San Mateo for around 1.4 mil:

[/ QUOTE ]

damn. 1.4mil??!! you must be fabulously wealthy

[/ QUOTE ]

1.4 million is nothing for San Fran Bay Area....its the entry price into an average neighborhood here. I am considered poor as I live in a shack. Then you gotta deal with property taxes of over 1350 per month so the liberals can take your moniez and give it to hobos and war protestors (kidding obv).

Not to mention the pace of work is pretty tough out here compared to Indianapolis.

[/ QUOTE ]

This was my thought before I read the part about kidding.

Also, your house is bigger than the one I rent and I don't have a boat.

[censored] me.

So I pick my daughter up yesterday to start my weekend with her and she falls asleep in my truck on the way home. When she wakes up she starts crying that she misses her mom (which she never does), so I take her out to dinner (the Strawberry Shortcake is to die for at Cracker Barrel) and she still wants to go back to her mom, so I take her.

She calls today after school and wants to go the lake with her mom and the boyfriend I was under the impression she was breaking up with, when she was giving me the cryptic suicide speech this week. Whatever.

Sweet, so I am all stoked for a weekend poker marathon. I start the marathon off 0/1/1/14. And then Indy starts posting as StricklyBidness again . . .
