toohigh,

That's [censored]. I would be pissed if I were you.

Not really considering the matchup:

I think he's referring to the guy with all the kicker add/drops, which is messed up. Doesn't your league have a commisssioner with those situations? I would think the guy did it as a joke, but any commish worth his salt would definitely let you pick up any of those kickers you want, or implement a maximum waiver transaction rule to prevent that kind of thing.

Remind me to never play in any leagues with you then. I'm in a money league right now and nothing like that has come close to occurring.

Is it a league with mostly the same people every year or not? The league I'm in is a CBS SportsLine Double-Diamond league. You do have the option of creating a private league, but I'm in a public one, don't know any of the owners, and do not intend on playing another season with any of them. I've seen stuff like this ALL THE TIME in these types of leagues.

I will also add, that if for some reason there is a CLEAR case of collusion or cheating, Sportsline acts as a very reasonable commissioner. There was a league I was in a year or two ago, and around Week 6 a team had essentially given up, and set his starting lineup to his worst players and did not update his roster.

I realized this, as the team that beat him that week gained position in the playoff hunt over me, informed Sportsline, and they set the moron's lineup to the correct one that ended up beating the team he was against.

This case with the kickers, even though it has hurt my team, I do not believe is cheating or colluding until I see otherwise.

I have no clue which to do. Eli Manning vs Seattle or Kurt Warner vs St. Louis?

This is a money league, very competitive

This is a terrible justification of an ethically questionable practice.

I was in no way attempting to justify the ethics of this type of move with that statement. I completely agree it's a dick move. I was trying to convey that I've seen stuff similar to this in these types of leagues that I frequently play in. However, when interpreting the rules of my league, I don't think it's illegal, unless this owner was clearly colluding with my opposition.
