do you eat those veggie cold cut things? I can't bring myself to even try them. as for sandwiches, I'm big on the fruit + cheese + baguette myself.
general sandwich tip: spread brie or any soft, creamy cheese on your sandwich like a spread. |

Here is something I have recently become addicted to:
Hard Salimie *Almost* every sandwich can be enhanced by Salimie (depending upon the flavor and texture you are looking for). If Im too lazy to add bacon, hard salimie is my choice of added meat. |

When slicing a particularly thick or structurally unsound sandwich (think tuna salad for the latter, and no celery, please), first slice the top piece of bread by itself. Place the two (or more) cut pieces of bread on top of the sandwich and cut the sandwich filling/bottom piece of bread as usual.

This may be blasphemy to some people, but I have found that pre-cooked microwaveable bacon, while no substitute for the "real" thing, makes it quick and easy to add bacon to sandwiches on a daily basis. 30 seconds in the microwave and you're good to go, with little cleanup. Costco's pre-cooked bacon is quite good.
As for mustard, has anyone here tried Coleman's mustard? It's mustard powder, which you mix with cold water to create your condiment. Nice because it's customizable -- you can tweak the heat level, consistency, etc., by adding more water or more powder. And you can get it pretty damn hot, if that's how you like it. Awesome with Chinese BBQ pork, but I have yet to try it on a sandwich. (Come to think of it, a Chinese BBQ pork sandwich with Coleman's may well be a winning idea.) |
