t's was used in England in the 15th-18th centuries to describe a fellow sailor or labourer. Many of those who came over here were Thieves, violent criminals were kept in England, and well, it just evolved into a term meaning "friend". The English got it the wrong way around anyway, I mean, look at the options...A beautiful country full of beaches, rainforests, massive supplies of natural resources, or England. They should have sent the law abiding citizens to Australia, and kept the crims in rainy old England

It's ok, I think Australian place names are among the hardest of any English speaking country to spell.

I watch the Discover channel. How the [censored] do any of you people make it past 20 years old?

Let's see what you've got:

Box Jellyfish - Arguably the most poisonous creature in the world.

Irukandji Jellyfish - Another deadly jellyfish, this one being only a centimeter or two in length. Smallest animal in the world capable of killing a human.

Trailer tagline - "Don't try to run - you'll never see it coming."

Blue Ring Octopus - You have an octopus that can kill a person, and it isn't even of the Sea-creature variety. WTF?

Barrier Reef Cone shell - Life threatenly poisonous. "Sure son, let's go pick up shells on the beach!"

Scorpion fish - deadly.

Stone fish - poisonous.

Sharks - They have an abundance of species, but the only thing you need to know can be learned by renting "Jaws."

Funnel web spider - Makes our black widows look like furbees.

Red tail spiders. (Yes, they have black widows, too. We can't have ANYTHING.)

White tail spiders.

Snakes (I'll just list these)

-Taipan
-Brown snake(What an unoriginal name for one of the more deadly snakes in existence)
-King Brown snake (Obviously the ruler of the lesser Browns)
-Tiger snake
-Death adder. The [censored] DEATH adder.
-Dugite
-Copperhead
-Yellow Bellied Sea Snakes. These are nonconfrontational, but hell, you'll probably be bitten by one of these on accident as you're trying to swim for your life away from all that other [censored] I've listed above.

Salt Water Crocodile. Just because Mick Dundee can kill one of these with a knife, doesn't mean that a tourist would have much chance. I mean, he's Mick [censored] Dundee. You can't roll like that.

Platypus - Even a creature that looks like one of the patchwork toys off of Toy Story, and has the scientific community so confused that they can't even classify this thing ("It lays eggs! It nurses it's young! WTF is this thing! It's rendered my PhD useless! God help me!").......is poisonous.

Yeah, let me arrange my airline tickets ASAP.
