Isura,

On the topic of value betting the river.

What do you think about the ever-favorite phrase, "Only a better hand will call?" Overrated, or no?

Grunch,

Overrated at SSNL. People will call down with all kinds of stuff if you bet the right amount for the situation. For example, flush draws makes 3rd pair on the river: He's not folding to a 1/3-1/2 pot bet.

I'll bite.

Assuming I am good to very good at small stakes poker, what kind of win rate can I expect at 50$ 6max, 100$ 6max, 200$ 6max?

What % of your win rate is directly a result of your PF hand selection (assuming again, that I am good). I think I am looser than most suggestions, but my results are good so far, should I stick with my style, or try to tighten up?

Do you think passive play is the most underused tool in most 'winning' players arsenal?

1 min raise, and 3 callers. What is your play with AKo in the SB (PF and if you miss)

I pretty much always call normal sized raises with a PP, regardless of position when the stacks are deep, is that a leak?

Interesting man. Was there a reason you used a pic of him as an avatar?

Isura,

If my table image is tag, and am I dealt 78s on the button and everyone at the table limps (imagine standard 50nl table, 2 40 vpips, one of which who plays slightly better than average, one very loose donk 75 vpip short stack and 1 weak tight tag) should I be open raising or is it ok to see a cheap flop ? I know a lot of people think this is an automatic raise, however for me at least it seems to be more profitable to see a cheap flop hit something reasonably big then make my opponent pay through the nose with their top pair that they can never fold.

A_Plus,

I have no idea what winrates are sustainable for other players. But the games are very beatable. I think preflop hand selection doesn't have a huge direct impact on your winrate, but it does effect the difficulty of your postflop decisions. It is easier to play a TAG style, and I believe this style is most profitable for a majority of players. Passive lines are not very useful at small stakes because your opponents are so passive. Aggressive poker is winning poker.

The AK situation - I would reraise BIG preflop.
Pairs - Out of position in HU situations, I sometimes fold small pairs. But in position, or with other callers, they are worth seeing a flop for a standard raise.
