You are aware that your WiFi speed is not the same as your internet speed, right? The 6-54 Mbps is strictly the speed at which you connect to your access point/router. You could have a 768 Kbps internet connection with a 54 Mbps wireless connection to your router. Windows will report an estimated rate, and when you are at 3 Mbps it means you have a very poor wireless connection and is likely to drop or disconnect. |
