Designer Whey is pretty cheap and will give you 24g whey protein per serving. It also tastes pretty damn good. I prefer mint chocolate but feel free to try other flavors. The costco brand of whey protein that is also 24g/serving is cheaper and tastes fine too, but not as good as designer whey

Felicia, (and others) when do you suggest taking them? And how often? (taking into account I'm trying to build muscle)

Before and after workouts. Are you also trying to lose fat? Or just build muscle?

BTW, I think this thread is yet another reason why we should have a Nutrition/Exercise board.

For a lighter protein shake I always liked muscle milk. I mean, that assumes you are accompanying with exercise rather than purely as a dietary sup. but they taste way better than anything else storebought imo

Nope, I'm currently 155ish lbs and want to gain 15-20 lbs in the next year for DIII college basketball. Losing weight is never the problem since I get so much exercise, its getting it on.

No, I think Nutrition/Exercise/Health fit right into OOT myself.

PS. I'm shocked there's been no 'special high-protein drink' jokes...you know what I mean. OOT's not what it used to be, in my day blah blah blah blah...
