We have played this game in our home game for several years now. Our game is Pot limit dealers choice, and all stud games including Razz and Hilo are always spread as mississippi. It works better for PL as there is more action on 5th street since people have made hands worth sticking around for, and the river being face up doesn't force you to have to play pure guessing games on the end.

It does suck to have 4 to a flush showing on 6th with another flush card in the hole, and then lose any chance of getting paid when you catch the 6th flushcard faceup on the end.
