Default Re: *****The Official 2007 J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS THREAD******

Pennington played well in the 1st half, I'll give him that. But he should have done that anyway, the Bengals have a defense that is worse than the Jets! I remember watching the highlights and an announcer said "Pennington with a deep bomb! And they say this guy has a weak arm..." Well any QB can throw deep and just let his WR run under it.

This year, every game-winning/tying drive in the 4th quarter, Chad has absolutely bombed and made terrible decisions. He is a horrible 2-minute drill QB, and we are losing to bad teams.

The Penningtologists can bring up accuracy, QB rating, etc., but Pennington has a higher QB rating than Elway and Marino, so how useless is that stat?

Pennington probably earned himself one more start with his 1st half performance, but he keeps playing like he did in the 2nd half today. We're 1-6, which means we have to run the table to make the playoffs. Let the Kellen Clemens era begin!

EDIT: Yeah I say this all the time but this team is frustrating, and I will continue to rant as long as
a) The Jets are losing games
b) Pennington is our QB

I really thought we were winning this one after the 1st half.
