Thoughts:

Why do I feel like JRB's mandarin has more to do with the Commerce than anything else?

My crush on Jamie is getting out of hand.

PLEASE GOD GIVE THESE PEOPLE CLOTHES (not Jamie).

The lunch lady is a fantastic cliche. Some of the words she made up were fantastic.

I thought the challenges were awesome.

James is a little bit of a pissy bitch. The stick blonde girl is a lot of one. How the [censored] do you get upset at a guy who is trying to keep you form getting burned.

That Dave guy was fantastically insane. It's like he didn't think for a minute that pissing everybody off was a bad idea.

JRB has probably backed into a good position. He was pretty unlikable early, but managed to avoid getting voted out. When this happens, that person often hangs around for a long, long time, because everyone either figures "we'll vote him out next time... next time... next time..."

[/ QUOTE ]

Its a good strat to make it to the Jury but not to the end unless he can win Challenges till the end. If James is in then he stands no chance same for Frosti. He also now can't slip and needs to stay off anorexia chix radar cause he's less liked then her.

Frosti is going to take this , hes well liked and physically sound enough to compete.

Also next weeks "big shock" was announced over the NFL game in a promo <I guess they figure ppl who watch survivor and the NFL don't care lol>
i'll put it in white its not survivor shattering

YES! I'm a non-violent kind of guy, but I wanted to smack her so hard there. I hope this scenario re-enacts itself, JRB stands there and watches her burn and then reminds her while she gets carted off to a hospital (eliminating her from the show) that he was more careful about his tone of voice this time around.

As for the lunch lady, I'm really pleased with the producers for getting back to what this show was meant to be about. Survivor has morphed in the last few years into this models-doing-obstacle-courses show, stripping it of the common folk humanity that made it so good to begin with. Props.

nice post... do you think Gollum (flight attendant) has longevity??

[/ QUOTE ]I think he'll certainly make it to the jury, but I don't see him going super far.

The problem is: Who is he going to ally with? Normally the flamboyantly gay guy (Richard Hatch from season 1 being an obvious exception) gets chummy with the ladies and floats along because he's not viewed as a physical threat by the other guys. Then if he can eek into a majority alliance with a few women ("us girls have to stick together"), he has a chance. But Todd isn't allying with any women besides the misfit Courtney. He's too "bitchy" to get along with Sherea or the lunch lady.

They're 12(?) days in and everybody is still voting and making moves like it's day one or two: They're still voting based on who is annoying, and with no significant alliances formed yet (I haven't been paying a whole lot of attention, but I haven't noticed any.) This is a pretty weak group.

I think Erik has a chance if he can last past the merge. His budding romance with Jaime might be the start of the first strong alliance. If they can keep Frosti and Peih-Gee with them, and snag Todd and Courtney quickly, they'll get rid of James, Aaron, and JRB.

By that scenario, Frosti also has a chance if he can win the challenges once James is gone. His small frame and lack of superman strength might allow him to win often without appearing to dominate. A lot will also depend on if he has any kind of relationship with Erik and Jaime or if they just need him for an extra vote.

I read the spoiler mrkilla posted, and I'm not sure what it means. In any case I'm not sure it matters. The producers surely planned some big shakeup about this time to mess with the alliances, but these yahoos don't appear to be forming any. A major switcheroo now might give them the hint that it's time to start.

I really think this whole put the person in the other camp thing is really lame. Bring back Exile Island- I thought that was a really neat concept. It made a person live by themselves for a night and struggle/cry/etc.

This whole season is decent (I wholeheartedly agree about the challenges being sick good) but the personalities just don't do it for me.

I really enjoy the backstabbing, drama, and strategy of Big Brother a lot more.

Todd, IMO, is a close lock for the final four. he's definitely aligned with that girl Amanda, as well as Aaron. That's a solid three, more solid than his relationship with anorexic Courtney. That foursome can get rid of JRB or James whenever they want.

I think if Todd's group holds numbers entering the merge he gets a final 2 seat, if they don't somehow, then its the Jamie/Erik/Frosti combo that goes really deep- probably with Jamie/Erik as final 2 since they might try to get Frosti out around 4-5 left due to his physical skills.

I don't really think Sheara, JRB, James, Courtney, and the lunch lady stand much of a chance.

My odds to get a final 3 spot:

Todd- 10:1
Amanda- 8:1 (my pick to win at the moment, since 1st episode)
JRB- 25:1
James- 20:1
Denise (lunch lady)- 35:1
Sherea- 40:1
Aaron-10:1
Erik-12:1
Courtney- 30:1
Jamie- 14:1
PG- 20:1
Frosti: 10:1

I actually reallly enjoy the kidnapping twist they have this year. It adds a whole new dimension to the show.

1)It give that individual a chance to mingle with the other tribe and possibly build new alliances with the other group early on in the game. Especially with the trusting of giving a clue to another member. This can play out huge and potential for plenty of drama at the end of the game.

2)Unbeknownst to the tribes, only a few members will ever know there is an actual immunity idol this season. They can speculate on it but Jeff never mentions the availability of the immunity idol during tribal council.

3)Most of the tribe members are left in the dark as to how important the kidnapping twist actually plays out in the game. Some will have a nonchalant attitude about who to kidnap, while others who knows the potential consequence of it will have a lot on the line near the end of the game. Drama.

4)There's going to be plenty of backstabbing and doublecrossing at the end. Like last week for example when Dave made an agreement with Todd that he'd share the idol clue with Dave if he ever got kidnapped to the other tribe. What happens is someone else from Dave's allinance also makes the same agreement with Todd and Todd can only give out ONE person the clue when it's his turn to pay back. It's for not right now as Dave is eliminated, but you get the idea.

5)You can use this whole kidnapping twist into your strategy, both for information or to keep information away from another group near the end.

There's so much more that can come out of this. All in all, I absolutely love the twist. The possibilities are actually endless as to what they can do with it. In past seasons when they send one person to exile island, they spend a day there by themselves....boohoo....plenty of drama there. I always hated the exile island twist. It practically did nothing for the show. And since last year when Yau man volunteered himself to go to exile so he would get another clue for the idol, it's clear they needed to change it up. It's shocking that no other contestant has volunteered themselves up to this point.
