Default 66 better than JTs HU?

a buddy of mine and i are arguing why 66 is or isnt better than J10 suited heads up... i he says JT suited is better cause of some calculator, i say 66 is better because jT suited is of course on the draw. i say JT NEEDS to hit something in order to win, 66 doesnt.

then he says:
wait its just like
u have bottom pair
and the person has
open ended straight + flush draw + overs
2 overs
whos the fav?

i say but that is maybe post flop, but right now its just JTs, he replies its the best drawiwng hand, it has more of a % to win in the long run...

this sounds absolutly crazy to me, is there a way to explian to him that he is wrong? or God forbid i'm just that bad

In a sense you have the best hand at moment, because you have a pair and he has Jack high. However, there are five cards to come, and what counts is who has a better hand at the end. He is more likely to have the best hand than you after all five community cards are dealt.

eh... i just have to take u guys word for it. the way i'm seeing it is there are more low cards to come than high cards to help him. which means hes on the draw, but i guess the calculator doesnt lie =/

cardplayer.com has these odds...go to poker odds and input the cards...66 is a little ahead of 2 over cards slightly.....
