Actually, I'm not sure how standard that is. In Georgia, its standard for the Buyer to pay the premium for the owner's policy (and the lender's policy, of course).

I talked with my real estate agent/sister and she said that's not standard practice in Massachusetts.

Anyway, we elected to get it (well actually the woman did, I was willing to play the odds).
