[ QUOTE ] I definitely see people, decent players even, shoving AQ here, especially AsQs. I'd snapcall this on the turn BTW, you'll be surprised by what you see so often (as you were in the actual hand). People do stupid things in 3-bet pots. [/ QUOTE ] Why would anyone shove AQ on the turn without some SERIOUS metagame, "to protect against the 3 outs AK has"? [/ QUOTE ] I'm glad we agree that this is like never a Queen. That being said, what do you think his range is when he shoves the turn? |

What is truly perplexing about your point of view Fonkey is that it is based on the idea that a seemingly solid player is putting in 175bb's lightly. It's hard for me to imagine that your experience backs up that thought.

i've cheated by seeing the results but i would probably make a crying call, afterall the pot is massive.
however i would shove the turn probably to avoid the problem. valuestack your self FTW is my style. i would never have the guts to pull such a massive bluff (semibluff). it is pretty awesome as the all in player acts as a bluff catcher so people assume you would never bluff, so it is the best spot to bluff (and insta gain a crazy image). i'm sure his turn push is +EV too, as he obviously has FE against overpairs as this thread has proven. and if they call, he can catch a 5 outer. this is as well as getting AK to fold that may take a stab at the pot. btw - villain is either an idiot or a genious. |

I find at the 100NL games when someone insta pushes the turn in situations like these they have often turned 2 pair. Hard ot believe given what the turn card is.
call... unless villain is a filthy piece of [censored] that would call PF and flop with 57s. He surely wouldnt do it with a set. So its 2pair, KK or bluff. Call |

Nevermind the results, this is a set 90% of the time. Sucks for you that you were against the 10%.

I would have to quit the session after seeing something like that if it's actually true.
