[ QUOTE ] This is either a crap level joke or the worst post I have ever read. If this is true please come play in my games. [/ QUOTE ] I have seen this in live 5/10 NL games. Player mucked top set faceup on a combo-draw flop because he didn't want to get felted. [/ QUOTE ] Folding a set because you don't want to get outdrawn isn't really tilting, it's just being bad and nitty and (probably) playing way above your bankroll. The OP folded a boat because he was tilting, which is completely inexplicable. For me, tilting is like, playing more aggressive and loose, and bluffing too much. Not playing completely illogically and doing things like folding top boat face up. When I'm on tilt flopping top boat with action is a dream spot to lift me right out of my tilt. I just can't understand why you let the table get to you so much that you don't even WANT to win anymore. If you tilt that ridiculously you really need to quit gambling. |

I believe this is the psychological phenomenon known as "biting your nose off to spite your face."
To the OP give yourself some time to distance yourself from the emotion in the incident and look at what you did logically. It should seem completely ridiculous. |

OP, I think you would benefit from talking to a mental health professional. The behavior you're describing goes beyond playing bad poker. It's a truly bizarre, irrational response to flopping a nice hand. What you describe is like taking money out of your wallet and setting it on fire, or cooking yourself a nice dinner then throwing it on the floor instead of eating it. Have you had other strange/inappropriate reactions to normal situations?

Well played, but i think you could have played it even better. You should have been minraising a few times on the flop, then folding when somebody puts you all in.
