How many of you people who are complaining about it being so mean to Cats to declaw them went out and had some Bacon/Hamburger/Steak recently. Seems pretty messed to butcher those animals for food too. You shouldn't just decide to save some animals from pain/suffering because they are cute. Either you should oppose all animal mistreatment, or you should be ok with any any mistreatment that has some sort of purpose. I certainly agree that random maiming of animals is wrong. But if there is a reason and a purpose behind the procedure, than I don't see a problem with it. If it's an inside cat, it doesn't need it's claws.

As for declawing being illegal in some countries, who cares. It's illegal to be out alone as a woman in some countries. Some laws are just lame, it's your cat, rip off it's claws if you want.
