it is still brute force !

the guy did not know greg before that personally. so it had to take him a few 10's of guesses ? maybe a couple of hundrads ?

still - pokerstars should have known about it.

I’ve been curious about this myself. What might have happened is that Greg (like many people) has one password that he uses for most of his online accounts. If that’s the case, he may have signed up for an account on some discussion board or what have you, and those people said ‘I wonder if he uses the same password on his PokerStars account’. This is just speculation.
