You tried to do that to me earlier remember??? With the Christ/Christian wording in a sentence?? You were being a real nit about it. Remember??

[/ QUOTE ]
It's not even close to the same thing dude. You got caught lying and tried to reverse course by presenting an entirely different sentence when I called you on it. "Christ" and "Christians" do share a lot of the same letters, but, you can't swap the two terms in and out at will.

I am not disputing that I wrote what I wrote... but it was a sarcastic inside joke (which ended with a ) meant for not-you and you mistakenly took it literally. Seems to be a theme running here.

I did not & will not read the Koran or a Hindu text or any of these thinker/physchology books that you like so much. I have all I need.

This might be the reason why all of your conversations on here end so poorly. How can you expect to intelligently discuss a topic you know nothing about? A little knowledge of what the other side thinks goes a long way. Then again, I am starting to realize you don't even understand *your* side.

[ QUOTE ]
If you've ever been really & truly blessed by the Holy Spirit you'd understand. I really don't know what else I can say.

[/ QUOTE ]
Special pleading ftw! This is the Christian version of a celebrity using "do you know who I am?" when they get into a fix.

Are you serious? This is convincing to you?

[/ QUOTE ]
yep

[/ QUOTE ]
If this is actually convincing for you then I can see why you would want to avoid any and all other books out there. You are so bad at processing facts and information your head would probably explode!

You just don't like it because I called you on being two faced. Like I said, there is an element of truth to it.

It's not a personal attack to say,
"Luckyme, you'll never speak perfect German."
facts are facts... not personal.

You need to read wikipedia's excerpt on critical thinking luckyme...you need to have humility and an openmind when you critically think...otherwise you have a wall in your mind and you can't look at all avenues...
Nowheres are personal attacks a part of a true intellectual debate...It is going on in these SMP threads now so much because poker players and apparently internet junkies are hardened characters and think they have the right to inject personal attacks into a debate...Critical thinking doesn't allow for that...read wikipedia..it says humility is a part of critical thinking...

In my cousins 1st year, her math professor pulled her aside and told her, "you're really struggling with basic mathematical concepts, perhaps you should consider switching to the humanities".
Personal attack or valid observation?

About the same time, it was suggested I give up karokee.
Personal attack or valid observation?

Not all minds are suited for every pursuit, and even tackling ( and 'wasting' time) with games like bridge and poker can show a person where their natural skills are, or show that in certain areas we may simply be too outclassed. Finding a path that holds your interest AND you have natural ability in contributes to a happy life. Finding a path that leaves your mind in a state of last weeks soup is a waste, for you and humanity.
I hope you find yours.

You might not have lied on purpose. But you definitely got caught spewing nonsense and instead of admitting it tried to weasel out by switching a few words that were close-but-not-the-same.

How am I two-faced? You are pointing to a post/joke that you have no context of whatsoever. I am sure you could find lots of sarcastic things I have said on here...but that doesn't make them true. Not sure why you are having such a hard time grasping this.
