Are you guys serious with the Thaler laydown being tough? Basic hand reading plus the fact that RW is a typical live weak-tight player makes this superstandard.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] only one hand that he has beat can call that river bet, and that is AK, and he bet too much to get a call from a dangerous board. [/ QUOTE ] KQ? [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Umm, he has KQ beat. [/ QUOTE ] I guess this shouldn't keep polluting the thread, but I can't help myself... What am I missing? We're talking about the AA, right (as this is the hand that is betting). It looks like someone suggests that the only hand that AA beats that will call is AK. However, KQ (which AA also has got beat) will surely also call a good amount of the time. |

[/ QUOTE ] why would thaler flip an easy basic hand-reading type fold face up? [/ QUOTE ] cause RW is bad enough to be impressed by it. and prob to rub in RW's face how bad he plays. |

If he did, it's unlikely he would call the flop raise with it. So, while yes, from RW's perspective, KQ could call the river bet, it's not really in Gabe's range. |

Otherwise you risk your donkey opponents playing inferior hands with you and sucking out. |
