I hate those stars freerolls more than anything. I really wish they would get rid of them and do something more useful with the money.

Off topic but since there are some stars experts in here;
can anyone tell me if my chat is banned on stars but I make a final table, is my chat reinstated for the final table so I can discuss a deal with the other players?

and to stars: (please reinstate my chat what I said wasn't that bad, and it was only in a moment of weakness when your doomswitch went off on me. I promise to never swear in chat again.)

but if you play low volume, low stake ring games, and you are in no way every going to get to be a supernova, and you have full tilt rakeback , its not even close.

This is a huge part of the equation that those castigating Stars here assume to simply be true in order to windmill slam the debate in their minds.

[/ QUOTE ]

No it isn't. Full Tilt is not the only other site!

KSOT- gotta admit I'm not sure what you were trying to say here. The debate in this thread was over whether or not people playing at stars were leaving value on the table by doing so.
The debate grew in that vein. When people came back to the conclusion "full tilt is clearly better than Stars now and it's obvious" that ignored a large portion of players who it simply can never be true for as it currently stands.
The poster I quoted was the first to use that qualification in their pro full tilt stance and I was bolding it and pointing out that the argument really only starts (with regards to full tilt and stars- which is where the real debate in the thread had gone) if one assumes Full Tilt rakeback is available to people who switch or are choosing between the two sites.

Once again I'll reiterate- it very clearly isn't true for some, which means we cannot just make blanket statements about one site being "clearly better" than another for a wide array of people.

And I am not making that blanket claim about Stars either.

REK- I tend to agree with most of your listed/numbered statements. At the minimum I find them to be a middle ground with little reason to argue over fine details. Well done. That's where i hoped this thread would get to.

Peace.

If you reach the final table of a tournament and want your chat reinstated for the duration of that event, please mail support and mark your mail as urgent. They'll reinstate your chat for the final table.

Here are two small examples

Turbo SNG events
FT $11 + 1
PS $15 + 1

FR Limit tables
FT 9 handed
PS 10 handed

90 players playing on each site, the site with the extra table will drop more rake.

Scotty

Why no 10 handed No Limit games Scotty? Is that so PS can get more rake?

Hold'em poker is played with 9 players. The 10 player format is a North American thing.

I also don't believe you have given the rake accusation much though. While a 9 player format does lead to more tables being active and thus the number of rake drops. A 10 player format increases the probability of the table taking a rake on any given hand. These two pretty much cancel each other out at No Limit.

Why would shorter handed NL SNGs cause more rake?

I didn't realize he was talking about SNGs. Then he is just retarded. The rake is exactly the same regardless of the number of people at the table.
