Default Re: QQ in BB, 2 limps, 50BB stacks

[ QUOTE ]
Really?
This way I'd rather be the one with 55 in MP. Investing 4 more BB with the option to double up.
My opponent can play perfect after flop - I'm risking my tournament life to win 6BB - doesn't sound +$EV for me. What point am I missing?

Surely you're not serious? You've got (depending on who's listing them) the 3rd or 4th best starting hand possible. Playing it for set value (which seems like what you're thinking) is awful. Raise for value. If you get called bet somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 of the pot regardless of what the cards are. If you get played back at you'll have to evaluate. With an ace or king on the flop and a call of your continuation bet you can consider the possibility that you got outflopped.

With a raggy flop and someone playing back at you maybe you're in trouble (a caller hit his set the 1 in 8 times it can happen). More often it will be someone with a medium pair who thinks you raised a big ace and missed the flop. Stop seeing monsters under the bed.
