Casino?

Na, I found a sort of a home game structured similarly to a casino game. The people are cool to talk to (and most of them are pretty bad at poker to boot), and although pots are raked it isn't nearly as much as it would be in a real casino.

Awesome hand of the day for me:

6 handed, I have A8 UTG. I raise to $8, BB, the only player at the table whose game I respect, calls (He also sees me as one of the best players at the game). Villain is down about $300 and has ~$140 in front, I cover.

Flop T73 rainbow, checked down
Turn T, BB checks, I deceptively minbet (lolololol) expecting a raise and with plans to 3-bet any raise amount. BB insta-raises to $15, I quickly re-raise to $42, he thinks and folds.

Although this may have been better as a way to extract chips when I have a big hand and don't expect opponent to have much than as a massive FPS 3-bet bluff.

Ha.

I played at four winds Saturday, waited like 2 hrs for a HUSNG but nobody came, ended up sitting at a FR 1-2 table, got stacked by somebody chasing a FD with 80-90% of my chips in on turn. He obv hit river, -250 for me .

Super short stacked.

Four Winds is all electronic tables, so rake is less and you get more hands in for the cash games.

They offer HUSNG and HU cash at two man tables, they start at 50 + 5. I was looking for a 50 + 5 or 100 + 10, maybe 200 + 20 after I'm up a buyin or two. I only brought like 300 with me, but I had access to more (didn't really want to lose more than 300 though, but if I lost it HUSNG I'd buyin for more NP).

The blinds start at like 25-50 and stacks are only 1k I believe, so yea 20bb poker. I'd love to do it though, I think my edge in playing like 50s or 100s would be a hell of a lot greater than just grinding out FR.

brandy,

focusing on your results and getting giddy about them is a recipe for disaster. We're all guilty of this, but focusing on results will make u play bad next time and you may lose it all back. Just try to make good decisions, let that be where the buck stops. Dont even check your account balance every day.
