I might try playing some stud and omaha - seems quite fun and would be nice to have a change from NLHE - BTW - we were playing limit omaha - isn't it normally PL? Which is best?

yo micro ballers, what up. just here to talk turkey. my question is: where is the money coming from in 25 and 50nl? i know theres stickies glorifying the value of c-bets, and people talkin about letting the donkeys pay you off. but i just wonder what the people think about where moneys flowing from. basically this stems from my insecurity while playing tight, i just keep thinking about image and agression when im being real tight and end up loosening up.

Ok I'm done, sometimes you've just got to quit, 1 hand that I ended the night with though

I am on the button

Co limps in (does this from time to time, has been running 30/20 for like 300 hands) I've got $120 and he has me covered.
I raise it up to 5xbb with JQ, CO calls

Flop comes 3 6 7 rainbow, I bet $8, he calls
turn is a Q still rainbow, he checks, I check,
river is another 3, he bets $15, I make it $40 (rarely make blufs like these), villain thinks and calls with 44,

this was the right time and place to bluf like this right against a laggy player?

[/ QUOTE ]
Well that Q on the turn should have helped you quite a bit vs 44. However, I donīt really see what you are representing. I think by taking this line you have either nothing and a monster, and you have nothing so much more often. Once he realizes this 44 and tpgk is basically the same thing. This would be a sick line if you actually had what the hh said. And after that you could have bluffed with impunity.

Do you know, that you where playing limit omaha/8 not omaha

It is a split pot game, where they best high hand splits the pot with the best low hand (the best low hand is 12345, flushes and straight do not count against you, tho in order to qualify for low you need five cards 8 or lower)

Omaha high played limit is just a crap shot .. omaha/8 can be played limit, as their still is room for skill. (tho resently it is has been popular in potlimit, but that is claimed to not be optimal, cause the better players edge becomes too large and the fish quickly die)

First session of the month - 9 table 25NL. Managed to get an hour session, which was 564 hands.

This month i've switched from 6max to ring and have decided I'm going to be an uber abc nit. Ran at 11/9/6 and crushed the world for 2 buyins lol. Set over set and higher set to river quads sort of killed my overall winnings but I can live with that as they where some sort of freak of nature type [censored]. Finally stopped trying to outplay the world in every pot and am playing fit or fold. So far so good, apart from the fact that my attempt to steal blind sucks and is like 19.

Anyway, don't know why but I felt I should share this.

NL10 been good to me since I joined the ranks. Lots of fold equity around, so so not used to that at all. Even the 40/10 guys fold and I still getting action on big hands.
