1st wife's death in braveheart breaks me

in blow, when he lets his daughter down @ the end, leaving her hanging when they were supposed to go to cali together

in do the right thing, when the entire movie hangs perfectly in balance 50/50, and mookie, who holds the key to tipping that balance decides on chaos in front of the pizzeria -- it is the epitome of cinematic climax... tragic, and truly hitting at the human condition in so many ways.

and one more, american history x, bathroom scene @ the end, i can't describe how well the entire movie builds up to that scene and never ceases to frustrate me

of course, sophie's choice, just wow @ that entire movie...
