Dear Bison,

i'm starting to think that i am a sociopath. i have fantasies about killing people everyday. last night i thought about ordering a gun and silencer online. i already own a pickup truck, and there is a roll of duct tape and rope in my cab. i will be ordering a cover for the bed soon. lots of homeless people live a couple blocks from me. is it wrong to kill them all?

[/ QUOTE ]

Interestingly enough, two people asking if you were a sociopath this past week. Perhaps there is some truth to this line of thought after all.

I shave my nuts so girls will stick them in their mouths.

Does that make me gay?

Only if the girls name is Ralph. Or Greg. Or Vinnie.

Dear Bison,

I think I may have ruined my life. I moved 2200 miles away 8 months ago from everything I knew (right after college) for a job that I now despise. I left all my friends and family to come down here. I was supposed to be finding myself, but I'm even more lost than I was before. Please advise.

Bison,

assuming lost a prop bet and had to pick one, would you rather sport a mullet or a mohawk?

Dear Bison,
I'm in my last semester of university. My degree, although having no direct career application (Social Anthropology MA), has been interesting. Being the competitive person I am, i'd like to get a "first" (being the top level ["A"] of degree in the UK, above 2:1 ["B"], 2:2 ["C"], "third" ["D"] and "pass").

I have worked out i need to get firsts in one of my outside courses AND get a first on my dissertation, OR get a 2:1 on my dissertation AND ace 2-3 of my 4 outside courses this semester.

As a result, I have not looked at my provisional dissertation grade, since I'd get demotivated either way (if it's a first i only need to get a first in one course; if it's a 2:1 i'm sincerely unlikely to ace 2-3 of my courses).

However, i "unfortunately" [in the inconvenient sense] opened this email today from a professor in my department:

[ QUOTE ]
Dear Nicholas,

Congratulations on having written an excellent Honours dissertation! The quality of the dissertation is usually a very good indicator of a student's potential for post-graduate research in Social Anthropology, so even if you have not previously thought of applying for a PhD, if you enjoyed planning, researching and writing your dissertation you might like to think about applying for post-graduate studies – either now, or perhaps after a short break.

[/ QUOTE ]

Although it looks like a copy-and-paste job, i'd already been emailed generically about postgrad. Does this email mean i got a first on my dissertation and they are 'headhunting' me for a Ph.D.? Or is the department asking people who did 'fine' dissertations to do a postgrad for more money?

I don't want to check my mark. I trust you more than the moderators.

In much love,
Pete.

(edited to put " " clarify "unfortunately")

I think the mullet sports you.

Dear Bison,

I go to a college that is
75% males
20% ugly females
5% good looking females that have boyfriends they picked from the large population of males.

I am currently looking for a girlfriend. What do I do?
(Ugly girls are not my cup of tea)

Dear Bison,

Lest this question is of inapproriate difficulty, I'll just say ahead of time "I suffer from fortnightly impotence unless I feast on the blood of Christian babies"

Anyways, Jon Stewart made a joke on the Oscars about Spielberg's movies, and "can't wait to see what happens to us next!" Got me thinking though; why are the Jews always singled out & targetted for persecution throughout history by seemingly disconnected and random peoples? The Egyptians, Romans, Nazi's, Middle East...why have people been so mean to 'em?

they have (edit: /had) no home so it's easier to pick on them. cf: the romany gypsies, and now the persecution of palestinians who have no official state. Oh the irony.
