Hello Matt Walters,
Thank you for your patience regarding your report. We have completed an investigation on 'vitesse2' and 'vitesse3'. One of the first areas examined is whether the players have a definable relationship. As confirmed by their chat, the players know one another and have a teacher/student relationship. This does not, however, translate into frequently playing together. For example, one of them has played over 150 Sit-and-Go's in our cardroom, but only 4 were with the other player. And their shared ring game history is even less substantial. Nevertheless, a review of hand histories comprises the bulk of these investigations. Please understand that having access to everyone's hole cards gives us an enormous advantage over colluders. We are able to judge the intent of every action, especially when put into context of previous actions. They did not build pots for each other, make suspicious folds, or unjustifiably squeeze players in between. There were no indications of collusion or any other rules violations. Also note that none of their Sit- and-Go events contain any money finishes. This is highly unlikely for teammates, as they will work together to keep one another alive in the event. Due to the lack of playing evidence, I cannot take action against these players. They do not frequently play together and, more importantly, their relationship does not adversely affect their decision making during the few times they do play together. There is no need to place restrictions on their accounts. Thanks again for your patience and help. Please contact support if you have any more questions or require further assistance. Regards, Larry PokerStars Support Team |

Makes sense. You'd have to be beyond braindead to try to collude with those usernames.

Well that's good news. They aren't cheating. At least now you know and don't have to worry about it.

I saw something like this in the last month. It was two friends at the same final table. Somethingboy and WSOPHero or whatever. One guy joked about having the Doyle hand and folded. Apparently they got punished a little, though it seems silly to me to do so.

[/ QUOTE ] Possibly, I hope, Support meant that they didn't money in any of the ones they played together. It would be very, very difficult to play 150 SnG's and never money. |
