the machine, I read this whole thread and I still have absolutely no idea why you think that you should have said anything. You really suck at life.
You were out of place, out of line, and out of your element. You are an embarrasement to yourself and your family. You are worthless. 5yob |

if i see something wrong happen that doesnt affect the outcome of the winner or loser it shouldnt matter. when the same scenario comes up and im involved in the hand i would want it ran the correct way. [/ QUOTE ] The correct way is to turn up your cards at showdown and get on to the next hand. Don't get into a pissing contest about who has to show first. The point is not about what the rule is or is not. The point is that you want the game to continue in a friendly and quick manner. By speaking up, you screwed up both of those things. |

she then begins to belittle me saying dont tell me the rules kid. [/ QUOTE ] I love old ladies who don’t take crap from snotty know-it-all kids! And by the way, thanks for ruining my day. Here I thought I was going to get to pile on a thread venting about bad dealers…. Now I discover that the thread is really about a dealer who got it right (yea dealer!) and a fool who doesn’t know when to STFU. |

[ QUOTE ]
obv go up to some floor people and ask them and every single one agrees with me. the dealer, after having a different floor at the table and also reiterating what the other floor had told me still said the floor was wrong! foxwoods dealer school taught them that closest to the button shows first apparently. dealer > floor obv cliff notes. old ladies are not smart and obv foxwoods dealers are still horrible and dont know the rules to the games they deal in. [/ QUOTE ] I play at Foxwoods regularly and I believed that their policy was as the dealers say in your post. In spite of your beligerent attitude I tried to keep an open mind and did some research at Foxwoods this weekend while waiting for a table. I talked to two Floor and one agreed with the dealers and one opposed them. The one who agreed with the dealers had gone through the dealer training herself when Foxwoods initially opened. So then I went to the Floor supervisor thinking I would get the definitive answer. But he surprised me. His answer was "What would you like it to be?" !!! I told him I prefer that the last person to make an aggressive action (bet or raise) should show first regardless of what street. He then told me that was how he would prefer it as well but that he was going to look into what the official Foxwoods position was - and that he wanted to get everybody on the same page (apparently senior management sent a memo asking the Floor Supervisors to get all dealers and Floor on the same page). I agree with you that Foxwoods has the worst dealers I have seen anywhere but not for the reasons you state. In this case, apparently, they all practiced what they were taught - and they can't read the minds of the Floor. Because Foxwoods pools dealer tips the best dealers are incented to leave and the worst dealers make more money than they should - so they will stay forever. As a result their average dealer is far inferior to those in any other card room I have played in (California and AC). |

I just had my first trip to Vegas, stayed at the Monte Carlo and played in their poker room. I had only been to Foxwoods previously. I was stunned at how much better the dealers were in Vegas.

Am I really the first to point out that this rule varies from place to place?
When I played at Foxwoods it was last aggressive action. Everywhere else I can recall was first to the left of the button. House rules ftw. |

river check check.
No bet on the river, hands are shown down in order starting from the dealer's left. That's not a Foxwoods rule, it's a poker rule. The lady and the dealer were right, you were wrong. She had it right, maybe you should learn the rules before you open your mouth. |
