Thanks to Soss for putting on a great event. Had a lot of fun in the cash game, the tourney not so much (getting a big stack all in with the second nuts vs. the nuts blows.)

A few interesting hands from the 1/1/2 cash game. These hands make sense if you know my image(weak tight nit):

1) Fairly early on, Soss raises to $7 from the CO, I call from the button as does the BB. Flop comes Q85r, BB checks, Soss bets $12, I call, BB folds. Turn is a deuce completing the rainbow, Soss checks to me and says "Go ahead and bet [censored]." I throw $20 out there and he quickly folds, showing a five. I return the favor showing T7s, and have to dodge his cards as he flings them at me.

2) MoDaddy open raises from the Hijack to $7, I call from the BB with AQ. Flop is 678 two tone. I check, MoDaddy bets $10, I don't think he has much and call, planning on leading a blank turn. Turn is an offsuit queen, I should lead here but check, planning to CR, even though this doesn't jive with my read on the flop. Of course he checks behind. Turn is a ten, completing the flush. Oops. It goes check check and MHIG vs MoDaddy's AK, but the table wonders why the heck I didn't bet the turn. Answer: I play bad.

3) Garland opens for $7 OTB as he has every time it's been folded to him. Soss calls from the SB as do I from the BB with KsTs. Flop is 89J two clubs. Checked to Garland who bets $20, Soss folds, I contemplate raising but just call. Turn pairs the 9, I lead into him for $35, he looks confused and calls. River is 2c, I bet $75 (we both have another $200 or so behind), he tanks for a while and folds what he says later was AJ. I should have showed the bluff here as I later made a couple of hands that I only got light action on, but managed to cash out up $250.

I was able to double my chips in the Tourney in the first couple of levels without showing a hand when my KdTd ran into AdJd on a Qd8d7d3d board and just like that I was out vs. the only guy at my table that had me covered. I spent the rest of the Tourney dealing, and interestingly managed to deal quads twice and 3 sets in 7 races .... home games are clearly rigged....

Yes, kudos to Andrew for hosting a very nice day of poker. I played at the 0.5/1 table and seemed to get dealt nothing but 72o (yuck) or AK (yay!) with a smattering of playable pocket pairs interspersed.

All in all, despite the meager disappointment of bubbling in the tournament (my 88 vs. KQs, JT on the flop makes the river ace a bad beat for me), I had a great time.

Some details to clean up:

In the hand between me and dan. I raised opened for 6 w/ AK, he made it 16 on the button. Flop was 88x. I checkcalled 20. Turn Q. I checkraised all in over his 30 bet. He tanked for about the same amount of time it took my cards to hit the muck. REBUY!!

[/ QUOTE ]

Minor correction of details:

You could not check-call or check-raise in this hand as you were in position while he flashed everyone on my side of the table his QQ. Dan was in the blind and re-raised you pre-flop. You simply called his 20 bet on the flop and raised his 30 all-in when he basically turned the nuts. Brilliant, I say, brilliant.

You were the bubble dude? Thanks! That got me in the money with a short stack. You have no idea how exciting it was for me to watch medium stacks go after each other as I move up with each bust-out.

It was down to four......I was in the money......two medium stacks go after each other while I think Garland was dealing. Both medium stacks go all in against each other (Corey (Matisau's brother) & someone else) and I yell "YEAH!" and quickly muck whatever it was I had since it didn't matter. Garland looked at me like, "WTF are you yelling for?"

He's such a noob (JK) that he didn't see that confrontation moved me up one place in the money regardless of the outcome. All the higher limit payers there couldn't care less, but us low limit players have orgasms over $300 winning nights. w00t!

I rock! 2+2 pros suck.......

Please don't hurt me over that last sentence. I love you fish.

Glad I could be of some service, bubbling out like that. I don't regret my play for a minute. Well, maybe for about 59 seconds when that damn ace rivered me.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this at all, but as people were busted out, they took it graciously. Occassionally you'd here, "nice hand" as someone was getting up from their chair.

Then there was Sossman's college buddy. I thought he was going to pop a hemmy or maybe get an instant hernia when he busted out. He jumped up and screamed GODAMNIT! or something similiar. I couldn't help but giggle for the next five minutes. Funny cause he was so polite the whole night.
