.. Also, in the 5/10 NL game I was playing at Showboat.

It really is comical how small that game plays, I would actually say it plays smaller than most Borgata 2-5s. There is not one player in that game that would be comfortable playing 5-10 at Borgata.

Some of the players in that game play because the Showboat has a 1k max buyin.

All,

The games in the smaller AC rooms will continue to play like this.

I played 1-2 Friday from 2:00-7:00 at the Hilton and I experienced the same player behaviors.

The Hilton does not have a shuffler. The dealers do not do that bad of a job, TK runs a pretty good ship. They comp at $2 an hour for 1-2.

The Hilton poker room offers rooms to its players, so I have played there my past few sessions to get comps/hours for a room. Im not balls enough to get my own room [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

The Hilton offers a free roll tournament if a player plays 50 hours in a months.

Standard. Caesars has terrible dealers, worse floor people (some times they have table games pit people working in the poker room, God help you if you need a ruling) and the best action in AC.

The max is $1,500 now. It's also a $4 raked game + $1 BBJ.

Why does it bother you if they soft play each other, did this happen while you played a hand against them?

I cant quite pin point that it happened to me in a hand but im sure that it did, there were plenty of pots where i felt like i was getting the squeeze put on me, for example...There was one player who was raising EVERY draw when he was in the hand with myself or two other players, but when it was him and 2 of the "regulars", it was a guaranteed check. I also witnessed a hand where there were 2 regulars and a another guy who was just playing there. Pre flop raise from regular guy, re raise from regular 1...call from regular 2..OR folds, before cards come out its agreed to be checked down...c'mon, thats just not right...

[/ QUOTE ] I was talking with one player at Showboat before I left and I had mentioned that I am used to an aggressive 5/10 game at Borgata, and he said he likes to play at Showboat because he doesn't want to go against the best players. He also thought the action was good (which it is not, a typical pre-flop raise may be 25-40 instead of the 40-80 I am used to at Borgata). I will say though that the 5/10 regulars at Showboat are very nice in general.

One question, I went to Trop at 7:45 PM on Sat. night and there was not a 5-10 NL game going. Does it always go on Saturdays, and if so, when does it usually go?

the floor has no idea how to to run the room, and the dealers are always hustling for tips. If you stiff them they will repeatedly tell you things like "nice hand!", "that was a nice pot", etc.

The worst is on the weekend when the room is packed. They will start a new 2/5 game in the back of the room and it will be play 5 and 6 handed. Meanwhile, new players take a seat in the other 8 handed 2/5 games that already have been going. I just take a seat in these games and tip the dealer so they won't tell the floor and there is never a problem.

Couldn't agree more that Caesars in AC not only has the worst dealers but also floor mgmt. I was there about 10 months ago on my first trip to AC. I was playing the 1/2NL game for about 4 hours and in that time I, and the rest of the table, watched them show favoritism to "regulars" repeatedly. They allowed one guy to jump between my table and another game even though the 1/2NL was already shorthanded. When a someone at my table brought it up to the dealer and then the floor, he was given the excuse of "hes a regular". Many of my fellow players ended up in arguments with most of the management and they defended eachother until the end. None admitted that "hes a regular" is not an excuse for breaking the rules.
The vindication was that our table hit the bad beat for 144k which had been building for 3 months. my share was 6k, not bad for just sitting there. But as big of a deal that it was, the poker room mgmt didnt offer any comps, any congrats, and the best that they did was a [censored] table picture that no one ever received.
So as great of an experience was it was winning part of the bad beat, my final review of the room was very negative. and Caesars will be way down on my list next time i return to AC.

When I was in AC back in april I walked into Ceasars poker room and just hated the feeling it had and it had lots of sleazy "jersey guys" in there with their cheap cologne n [censored]. So I left and went to the Taj instead and had a good time playing 5/10LHE. When I sat down I was the only one who was under the age of 60 and they kept telling me that its not a NL game because I guess every young guy plays NL.

I was in Caesars only a couple of times, and I had an interesting episode that I never had or witnessed elsewhere. My first time playing there, some obviously drugged out scum sat on my table immediately to my right, without any chips or intention of playing, and ordered Henessy.

I took it upon myself to ask him if he was intending to play a couple of times, since everyone else except for cocktail waitress seemed to ignore him, and he blew me off every time and telling me to mind my own [censored] business. Eventually the female dealer forced him to stand up as it was the creep's turn to post the big blind, even though she looked like she would rather not confront him.

He was still standing behind me for a couple of hands with his Henessy, giving me the dirty looks every time I apprehensively turned around. Finally after I stared at him one final time he threatened me and quickly [censored] off from the room. Thankfully, the floor people and security kept their distance and let us settle the verbal spat between ourselves. In fact, they made sure not to even be seen in the vicinity out of respect for us.
