Agreed. Think of The Crocodile Hunter, if you knew some of the animals were CGI. A whole lot of the coolness factor is that you're seeing something real.

Short Time has a hilarious chase scene.

It's an underrated movie. Though, you should only expect some goofy laughts.

You'll need to know the basic setup. Dabney Coleman's character has learned he's going to die in a few weeks/months. So, when the call comes in that some cop killers have been spotted, he goes on a death wish chase so his young son will have the money from line-of-duty insurance to go to an Ivy League college.

The chase scene done in Terminator 3 was one of the better ones done recently, I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet

Go rent an old movie called The Driver, with Ryan O'Neil.

Set the standard, and a pretty good flick.
