Ok I sort of got tired of this thread sooner than I thought I would.
yoshi, Come on man, wtf. The full house hand was sick, you can have that. Those things happen though. The gutshot hand was LOL, you were behind the entire time. The 2 pair vs. 2 pair hand, you made it sound like you were behind the entire time there too but your hand improved slightly on the river. The draw vs. top pair hand, you were behind the entire time. Whatever. Pretty much all I can gather from your original post in this thread is that a) you aren't very good at poker and b) you have NO concept of bankroll management or variance. Could you go from $1200 to $9000 in 30 days, playing 5/10, and do so from just getting lucky? Yes. Horrible players go on heaters. They get in with gutshots, flush draws, etc, run hot for a while and then lose it all back. It sounds like you're well on your way to doing that. 9k is nowhere NEAR enough to play 5/10 with, even if you're good. I wouldn't play 3/6 with 9k. Ok I would, but I'd have to be willing to move down to 2/4 after a minuscule downswing. 5/10 NL players are typically pretty solid. Much more solid than it sounds like you are. I know because I've spent time playing 5/10. My actual advice to you would be to cash out all your money but a few hundred dollars, thank God you actually profited, and spend time learning how to play poker better and grinding small stakes. Learn about bankroll management. Learn about variance. Learn how to fold gutshot straight draws. Also, online poker sites aren't rigged. Sorry if I ruined the fun, I was no longer entertained by this thread and I'd feel bad if this guy busto'd because wiggs73 told him he should keep playing 5/10 with $3000 or whatever in his account. |
