wtf is chad thinking?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nenad is very tough and certainly capable of raising river with two napkins.

In a similar hand on the same show, Chad called me down with AK (no pair) after I raised his flop bet and raised his river bet. Dusted off around $20k to him in that hand.

Chad plays good and reads good. If I had to play against him every day I would likely go broke.

yah i saw that hand too (have watched every episode) and chad is coming off like a bit of a station.
i respect your opinion though if you think hes a good player (as you have been very impressive the whole show.)

Click on July 4th, 2007 tab. It's the 3rd or 4th hand shown.

Can anyone explain the purpose of his river bet, esp. his plan to call a raise?

his river bet was some sort of bluff/blocking bet. chad knows if he checks the river to nenad, he will bet and take away.
i dont mind this play, but calling the re raise is insane (although putting nenad on hand is pretty hard.)

If he is attempting to "bluff" this river than why the puck is he calling this raise?

Slightly off-topic: Has this Brooklyn Dan guy ever played a hand in the entire season?

Dan is a v. good guy but a total nit. He really hurts his show by playing on it b/c he's such an action killer.

Without him on the show, the game would have played much bigger than it did: mandatory straddle, occasional double straddle, seven-deuce bounty, more props, etc.

Pretty sure he knows all this. To his credit, I think (?) he's a winner on the show. (though I'm not sure how because he hardly ever gets action)
