Much, much softer. 1/2 NL..standard raise is to 15 with 3-4 callers. You raise to 7 or 8, you can expecteveryone to call. You get a good hand otb, if 5 people limp, and they will, you make it 15 to go, guarantee 5 people call. (except in Vegas when I was there, they actually fold)

1/2 NL at Tropicana one guy is raising to $25 PF about every hand, pretty deep. Another guy calls him every time and goes into the tank 5 minutes on every flop, constantly whines inbetween hands mumbling incomprehensible stuff about how bad everyone is playing, much more annoying than Hellmuth can imagine. He's on my immediate left. The game is juicy but I'd rather hang myself than play one more hand so I go play with the nits at GVR instead.

there is NO variance in the fact that live NL cash games are unbearable. this is simply always the case.

it pisses the [censored] out of me when people are doing the hollywood tank act. you immediately know if they have the nuts or if theyre going to fold so they should just cut the bull.

if you have the right guys at your table the games can be very profitable and enjoyable with players being social, but if you have the sunglass wearing non talking every street tanking morons it can be hell.

I would find the slow play/annoying tendencies of live players to be tolerable if the game was 6-7 handed, but it can definitely be too much with games being 9-10 handed normally.

Anyway, the only potential thing stopping any 2p2ers from killing low-to-mid stakes live NL games is a lack of patience.

additional point: when the live NL cash game gets down to 5 handed and you raise all day, and the other players are whining about it, THEN its fun!
