I think this is entirely dependent on my read of the UTG raiser.

to a great degree i agree. You want to have enough fold equity to justify the play, and his stack deep enough to consider folding also. You wont get a call out of enough worse hands here if you move in for 3k+ (which a lot of people have been suggesting is an ok amount to shove) but will of course get called by most of the better hands. stack sizes are mainly affected by agression and position though and depending on the type of player, you can make a bigger argument for shoving vs. not.

All,

I think this question is more interesting if you answer (given the pre-flop action) what range of stack size you push with each of AQ/AK/99/AA there.

[/ QUOTE ]

I absolutely agree its much more useful to consider our entire range rather than just AK D, but I'm wondering is there a reason you leave out KK-TT (or perhaps you mean 99 thru AA)?? You have me very curious now.

Holding an ace and king in our hand reduces the chance that anyone holds AA or KK -- however, your range for UTG raises here is too wide.

[/ QUOTE ]

No way.

[/ QUOTE ]

Obv completely player dependant, however, most TAGs at this level are not going to be popping it with AQ UTG, and most are going to limp JJ and TT a significant amount of the time.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think you are confusing TAGs and Weak/Tight.

I'd say, probably around 50BBs, and if suited closer to 60BBs, are where I would consider not moving in PF.

Anyone else have an opinion on TAG UTG raising hands and percentages?
