Oh get over it you can talk chit to hothead bad players it does nothing but make them worse players..everyone is soooo nitty about hurting a fishes feelings..lol he isn't leaving the table because of him saying that line. [/ QUOTE ] IMHO - If a fish is looking to start an argument or starts talking trash, he's fair game. You're far more likely to tilt him or get him to target you and dump chips your way than you are to scare him off or have him retaliate by playing better. As long as you're not giving him any actual usefull advice (ie: "You suck!" = good, "You didn't have odds to chase!!" = bad) AND you're not starting it yourself, particularly against passive, non-confrontational players (this is really, really bad) I think this is fine. |

Yep agree with you CMAR.
I love talking, am by far the most talkative reg at 200 and it is good/bad sometimes complaining sometimes not and I don't give out advice but will occasionally fire off at the mouth(I usually only berate decent players because it is more fun than actually berating the bad players) |

[/ QUOTE ] I don't do it because it's just rude and unnecessary, IMO. It feels good to just say, "Sorry" even though they're totally in the wrong. And yeah, some people will leave if they're hit with the realization that they're terrible. People are much more likely to reload and lose more if they're in a happy environment.. they're also more likely to lose it to you. |

Am I the only person who almost never even notices if someone's typing in the chat? By the time I'm done with that pot I'm already looking at other tables. That and I usually have my tables small enough that their chat only stays in view for a couple seconds.

K, here's a mini-trip report.
I went to Washington D.C. when I was younger, but it was a 7th grade class trip so most of my time was spent goofing off with my friends. Our first day there we visited George Washinton's Estate on Mount Vernon. This was actually the coolest thing, in my opinion, that we did there. They have actually added a couple of small museums on the estate where you learn about George, and he was a very interesting person. Did you know that after the Revolutionary War he had such a strong group of followers and many actually wanted to remove Congress of it's power and make him king? His response was to go before Congress and relenquesh all power that was given to him while announcing his resignation so that he could return to his home and concentrate on his farm. I actually got chills while I was watching this in the video. It wasn't until years later that he got elected as president. This same kind of humility is found in his mansion as well. Instead of decorative pieces featuring swords and guns celebrating his success in the military, his home featured hoes and plows showing his love in the simple things that were worth fighting for. The second day we had a lot of walking planned. We started the day with a tour of the Washington Monument. We had tickets to actually go inside and take the elevator up to the top which has windows looking in the various directions of D.C. We also visited the Jefferson Memorial, the FDR Memorial, the WW2 Memorial, the Vietnam Wall, the Lincoln Memorial, and finally the Arlington National Cemetary. We were really exhausted by the end of the day. Our third day featured a trip to the Smithsonian National Zoo. The kids had most of their fun there. The place was huge! We must have spent about 7 hours there and we didn't quite see everything. We were sure to see the Panda Bears, of course. From what I understand this is the only zoo in the United States that has Pandas. They are an endangered species. We were really tired by the time our fourth day arrived, as you can see we had a jam-packed schedule. This was Tuesday, and we had tickets for a tour of the White House. I was quite disappionted that they really didn't show us very much. We got to see about 4 rooms and that was it! Of course, what they did show us was immaculate and it definitely left us wanting more. And where does the president sleep, by the way? I would imagine that there are secret underground rooms, or perhaps an underground tunnel that goes to another location or something. So from there we went to Ford's Theater to see where Lincoln got shot. They have like a mini-museum but unfortunately they were closed because they are renevating the building. So we piddled around at the Museum of Natural History for a little bit before deciding to go back to the hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing and swimming in the pool. So Wednesday morning comes and we decide that we are going to spend the day doing some shopping and then go to the Tigers-Nationals game at night. The Tigers had beat the Nationals the previous two nights, and I wanted to be there for the sweep! Not to mention that Bonderman was pitching (I have his jersey and wore it to the game) and at this point Detroit was tied with Cleveland for first in the AL Central. We wanted to check out the Eastern Market, but when we got there we found out that it had suffered a fire a couple of weeks earlier and they were rebuilding it. The Tigers beat the Nationals for the sweep, and as of today they are 2 games ahead of the Indians. Go Tigers! Thursday we went and toured the Capitol Building. Then we went to the National Archives Building to see the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. After that we peddled around the White House to take some pictures that we couldn't take when we visited because we had to leave our camera behind. I'll try to post some pics later. |

I actually very, very rarely chat (I've had a few unknowns comment about this). Frankly, I have better thing to do than chat with bad poker players I just don't think it's a big deal either way as long as you don't table coach and you don't rag on the players who will actually be chased away.
If someguy is assertive enough to be starting it, it's pretty unlikely you're going to scare him off. |
