I don't get it. Don't you just have to hit gold status to become a VIP?

[/ QUOTE ]

It must be based on rake. I became a VIP almost entirely from NL play where I earned about 1 point per month (give or take a few hundred).

Another good thing about Stars is that if you ever decide you want to cheat, the only thing you lose if you get caught is the money you won while cheating!

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually, thats a good thing. If somehow you get falsely accused of cheating, at least you won't be wiped out totally.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a joke, right?

[/ QUOTE ]

In the ZeeJustin mania, everyone seems to have forgotten stuff like this.

That's what I'm talking about. You can't give these sites free reign to confiscate entire accounts just because they accuse you of something.

I've been saying that all day everyday, and people like BluffTHIS! somehow trust these unregulated casinos and poker rooms to do what's right 100% of the time.

I'm a VIP and to be honest, I don't know what it does for me. The bonus requirement they placed on me was ridiculous. I'm not even trying to hit it. So you might not be missing outu on as much as you think you are. What else does being a VIP do?

My main point was that VIP to them is their upper rake generating players. How can you argue with that? If you're not one of them, you're not one of them. I do agree with your point about them giving you wrong information though. It's unfortunate, but all I'm saying is that if you have to work that hard to become a VIP, maybe it's not worth it for you.l

No joke at all. If I was falsely accused of cheating, say collusion at a .50/1.00 table where I won 30 bucks for the session, I wouldn't want them to have the right to take my 50k bankroll.

If such a 'rule' became standard at all sites, I probably wouldn't play online anymore. I don't trust the sites that much. They don't really seem to know what they are doing. I could see them labeling people cheaters who aren't, just so they could confiscate their entire bankrolls. Especially at underfunded newer sites that can't make it anyways. So they'd just say you are a cheater and keep all your money.

Sure, that may not be likely at the big established sites, but there are 300 other sites that might abuse such a rule as that.

Since you can't have your day in court, and your arguments wouldn't be heard anyways, why give the sites that kind of power to confiscate your entire bankroll on that site? That wouldn't be good for players.

Anyone who is willing to play on a very high level just to receive the equivalent of a 10% rakeback is a VIP in my book.

[/ QUOTE ]

Heh. Nicely put.

Really, Neverlie, I don't care where you play (unless you're good, in which case I hope you stay at Party), but, man.

Party's customer support is ba-aa-ad.

They must pay those people $.07/hr.

Also it's interesting how Party continues to go after the short-term only strategy. Qualifying VIPs on a case-by-case basis (or according to a secret formula - whichever it is), is just another example.

Yes, ZeeJustin wasn't falsely accused, but some other player might. It's not always black & white. For example you created a new account with false name to get RB from your new affiliate. You broke Party's T & C. Do you want to lose all your bankroll?

I would want to give VIP to as many people as possible if i ran a room.

[/ QUOTE ]

That would make VIP status not so VIP wouldn't it?

It sucks that they jerked you around like that. It seems like they are expecting you to average a certain amount for a few months, like with the Blue, Silver, & Gold status program. The email's you got were very misleading.

I've decided to leave Party for good after that update fiasco that wiped out all my images.
I don't care about rakeback,i just can't play at a website that completely mistreats his customers.
Moved to Stars, while also playing at Full Tilt sometimes to clear their bonus.

Party is horrible.
