So you would sometimes 3-bet T8s here in SB?

yup, depending on his att. to steal the blinds. if there are 2 callers raising it up to $10 is great for squeezing. Only against villains who can lay down a hand ofcourse, and don't do it with every hand .

So would you do this alot less in the blinds than on the button or CO? I guess it actually looks stronger in the blinds because being OOP people think you are less likely to be making a move.

obv less in the blinds then in position. You also see people who 3bet a lot out of the blinds, but you can catch them quite easily as well.
And like genz said it's better to raise with a hand like t8s 87s then AJs, cause if you get called, and you do hit a jack or an ace you are most likely dominated. t8s can easily be laid down though if you hit an 8 . |

http://www.flopturnriver.com/Common-Flop-Odds.html
If someone is reraising ur 4x BB pos raise with 66, And u know pretty sure that u can stack him most of the times if u hit the flop. He reraise u with 8x more BB's. So both have 88 BB's left. So u gotta stack him at least 1 out of 8 times to make this profitable. The odds that u hit a set with ur pocket pair is about 11%, so its not profitable to play pocket pairs then right? Considering all the action you get post flop. But ofcourse sometimes u can take it down postflop so then the 1 out of 8 rule shouldnt count. But if u hold a suited connector, the chance that u beat him on the flop is about 7%. (flush straight 2 pair and full house). The chance that u flop that or a OESD and flush draw is 27%. And the fact that some players like to check their Kings or aces or queens sometimes, or make their flops bets way too small to give u odds to see a turn (and to stack off then), and the fact that it could be AK or AQ makes it profitable to call a reraise with a hand like that? Cos sometimes when i hold a hand vs a predictable donk who even stacks off with AK nothing hit in a reraised pot, I consider calling his reraise with my 67s or 78s. Is that a leak or not? I really suck at math so could someone explain :P . |

I think the key thing is that they are reraising light and you have position, so uless they are very loose , you have a strong chance of winning the pot.

After like 4 days of 2ptbb [/ QUOTE ] Yeah I want to play a long session today, but have to learn a bit for school first. Really should stick with 50nl for a while, but it's starting to itch again, maybe tommorow I'll play some 100nl. |
