Unfortunately I really wouldn't know how to approach him about this.

Polygraphs are for fish, I bet anyone $50,000 (if I had it) that I could take a polygraph without showing one lie. If only I didn't suck at math...

In response to BTM, you're right on there. I challange anyone who thinks they're smarter than me to a Dance Dance Revolution battle.

Edit: DDR battle only applies to people over age 45 over 233 lbs and Brandi (call me (-

Rather than start a new thread ala Sklansky style..

I offer a 50K challenge of my own. I will gladly pay 50K to anyone who can beat me in Guitar Hero*

*challenge only applies to those individuals whose birthdate, (in MMDDYYYY) when multiplied by number of letters in their middle name equals an odd number equally divisible by 7. The song will be of my choosing and we will play left handed and blindfolded and in a room full of non-venemous snakes....

So you challenge christians and then make the rules such that it excludes the majority of christians.

I think christians should take it as a compliment that you have to narrow it down so much knowing that if you kept the rules for all christians that you wouldnt stand a chance.

The whole point is he was speaking to a certain group of Christians.

The whole point is he was trying to get attention.

There seems to be no real point to this challenge except to get Christians angry. Wow, you can do math fast. Who cares? I think Dance Dance has about the same brilliance indication level as the math SAT (very little). Suppose someone beats Sklansky, what does that prove? Athiests (or whatever group is represented by our resident genius) are stupid?

Obviously not, it proves that one person beat one other person at one test on one day...

Um... wouldn't the people who actually qualify for this bet think that they would go to hell for gambling?

The standards you've set aren't even exclusive to Christians anyway, David. Knowledge and belief in who God or Jesus is doesn't do squat according to James 2:18-20.
I started a thread a couple months back asking this same question, and looking for a stake because I'm a graduate student who doesn't have 50k laying around. David didn't reply then, but if he's still interested I'm up for it (perfects on both SAT and GRE in probably less than half the allotted time.)

I keep seeing all this talk of "staking" and "needing 50K" and such...

Unless I'm mistaken...this is not a bet...Sklansky is just offering 50K to whoever can do this because he thinks no one can or wants the attention or whatever... Nowhere in the quoted challenge or on wikipedia does it say anything about the challeger putting of 50K if they fail this...

Am I wrong? Where is the vergabe of the initial challenge?
